Thank you, Swords. Swords Live is a Public Service of the Year finalist

Big news from Fingal Chamber this week. Swords Live is a finalist for Public Service of the Year at the Fingal Business Awards 2026.

This one belongs to the people of Swords. Everyone who has checked a bus, sent a Swoop report or told us something wasn't right has helped shape what Swords Live is today. So first of all, thank you.

Swords Live is free, and it's built around one place: Swords. Buses, planning, weather, air quality, local history and a quick way to report problems, all on one map of the town.

Swords Live runs on MapClick, a new kind of place software built by HTC right here in Swords.

Swoop is one tap, one snap. See a problem, take a photo, and it goes to Fingal County Council Operations.

Express shows your bus moving towards your stop, with the arrival time for that stop. And Swords in 7 (S7), our email newsletter, lands every Friday with what happened in town that week.

Kevin Egan, founder of Swords Live, said: "Winning would be fantastic, but what matters most is being recognised for bringing real value to the community. That's what Swords Live is all about - serving the people of Swords and making a positive contribution. We're genuinely grateful to have that recognised."
